Merchants can now override the default order date-based calculation on a per-rule basis by specifying a Custom Date Calculation.
What’s New?
- Custom Date Per Rule– Each estimate rule can now have a specific custom date as the starting point for calculating delivery estimates.
- Ideal for Pre-orders & Scheduled Releases– Supports scenarios where products are not immediately available for shipping.
How It Works

- Create or Edit an Estimate Rule
- Enable "Calculate from custom date" within the rule settings.
- Select a specific date from which the estimated delivery will be calculated instead of the order date.
- Save the rule, and the estimated delivery date will now be calculated based on the chosen date.
Example Use Cases
Scenario: A high-demand item will be back in stock on March 10, 2025 and will start shipping from that date.
Rule Setup:
- Enable “Calculate from custom date” - Custom Date: March 10, 2025
- Minimum Delivery Days: 2
- Maximum Delivery Days: 4
- Supposed that there is no non-working days and blackout dates.
Result:
- Today is Feb 20, 2025
- EDD display: March 12 – March 14, 2025
(March 10 + Min Delivery 2 days = March 12)
(March 10 + Max Delivery 4 days = March 14)
